OZ

Green is the color of leaves and trees, but I had never thought of it as a hue for flower petals—until I discovered the green paper in Oz. Instantly, I was captivated and knew I had to incorporate it into my work. The green, with delicate touches of gold and red, is absolutely stunning, and the swirling leaf patterns in the paper felt like a natural fit with the softness of flower petals. From there, I stumbled upon a vintage green glass vase and plate that harmonized perfectly with the paper.

I'm also enjoying the flexibility of brass sheet metal. I can cut and shape the stiff service to make it resemble ribbon. When I was a fiber artist many years ago I wrapped cords with handmade wool that looked like bubbles on a string. That same feeling returned to me with the curling wire and beads that accent the stem

Measuring 19.5” tall and 8” wide
